Mount St. Mary’s clock tower recreated on “Ace of Cakes”

March 10, 2008

Nothing says “Happy 200th Birthday” to a university and its students like an edible recreation of their campus.

Mount St. Mary’s University will be featured on the Food Network’s sugar-powered “Ace of Cakes” this Thursday night.

The higher ed institution hired the Baltimore-based cake connoisseurs to craft its cupola in cake form. (Essentially, a cupola is a dome on top of another dome).

The creation recognized the school’s bicentennial, a celebration that evidently lasts all year long.

And they’re not done yet. MSM’s wants you to send them ideas for another cake to be made for the October finale of the bicentennial extravaganza.
