Law blog round-up

October 6, 2008

Good morning! Here are a few interesting law links for your Monday:

  • John Bratt at the Baltimore Injury Lawyer Blog gives advice you didn’t hear in law school.
  • Paul Sandler and Paul Bekman want the rules committee to make continuing legal education mandatory. Maryland is one of only six states that haven’t made it compulsory, they write.
  • The Maryland Chamber of Commerce is looking for contributors to its forthcoming HR and employment law Web site and newsletter.
  • Former 4th Circuit Chief Judge William Wilkins, who has been on senior status, is leaving the court completely to join a law firm. That means the court now has 11 full members and four vacancies, with only one senior judge to help with the caseload. And with the president a lame duck, it doesn’t look likely that the problem can be solved before January.
